New WiFi feature, and it comes with a rule we baked in on purpose: it can only ever turn power down, never up.

WiFi signal / coverage control is live on ISN Free WiFi. If you run a venue in a dense building, shared walls, a shop next door, a busy street outside, your WiFi doesn't stop at your own doorway by default. That means random people outside can connect, and networks nearby can interfere with yours. This setting lets you dial back your router's own broadcast power so your coverage stays closer to where your guests actually are.

Here's the part we think matters most. South Africa's ICASA sets legal ceilings on how much power WiFi gear can broadcast without a license, 20 dBm on 2.4GHz, 30 dBm on 5GHz. We built those limits directly into the system as a hard cap. A venue can lower their signal all they want, but the platform will never let anyone push it above the legal exempt limit, no matter what the router hardware itself is capable of. Staying under that ceiling is what keeps a venue operating license-free in the first place, so we made it impossible to accidentally step over it.

Independent control for 2.4GHz and 5GHz. Off by default, nothing changes until a venue sets a value. Built for MikroTik and OpenWRT-based routers.
