Revenue Tracking by Router: See What’s Really Working

2 September 2026

Running WiFi across more than one location makes one number dangerous. A single blended revenue total for five, ten, or fifty routers tells you everything is fine on average, and nothing about which locations are actually carrying the business.

Here is the blind spot we kept seeing. Ad views, voucher redemptions, and data plan sales all rolled up into one figure per venue. A router doing real business could sit right next to one doing almost nothing, and the combined number would never tell you which was which. Worse, a router that had simply gone offline looked identical in the data to a router that was online and just not converting guests. Same zero, completely different problem, no way to tell them apart.

We just shipped revenue tracking by router.

Every router now shows its own ad views, voucher redemptions, and data plans sold, along with the revenue each one actually brought in. The system compares every router against your own average automatically. Earning under half the average gets flagged Underselling. Earning more than one and a half times the average gets flagged Overselling. You do not have to go hunting for the outliers, they surface on their own.

And because a quiet router and a dead router look the same in pure numbers, we show live online or offline status right next to the revenue. If a router says offline, that explains the zero on its own. If a router is online and still earning almost nothing, that is the one actually worth a visit.

The result is a real answer to a question every multi-location operator has asked at some point: which of my locations is actually working, and which one needs attention. Not a guess. Not an average hiding the truth. The real number, per router, every time.
